This is suitable for birds that feed on abundant and relatively uniform food supplies. Fields of weeds are a good example.
Snow buntings nest in the Arctic and spend the winter in the temperate zones. To them, a snowy farm field is a relatively warm and luxurious winter holiday resort. They are often accompanied by other field finches and sometimes horned larks. I have shown one lone Lapland longspur, another Arctic nester.
